BIAFRA !!!! Abduction Of IPOB Activists & Their Imminent Death In Dss Custody. What The Judiciary Must Do. Must Read.

(Onitsha Nigeria, 1st of September 2016)-Following high cases of suspected death of Nigerian citizens in the custodies of the security agencies and recent violent attacks launched by security forces in some high profile prisons across the country, the leadership of International Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law (Intersociety) is deeply concerned that the abducted IPOB activists presently in incommunicado detention by the authorities of the Department of State Security; Nigeria’s secret police, may most likely die in the DSS solitary confinement under highly questionable circumstances.

IPOB,MASSOB Regroups For Further Protests

The business community of Onitsha, Anambra State has started recovering from the effect of last week’s pro-Biafra violent protests that left nine people dead and property worth millions of naira destroyed. After the Wednesday’s mayhem in the city and the subsequent dismantling of the barricade used by the protesters to block the Bridge Head and other entry points in Onitsha, indication emerged that members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, were regrouping on Thursday to begin another round of violent demonstration.

This was, however, aborted following the beefing up of security in the area. For instance, several truck loads of soldiers, from the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Enugu, were seen heading to Onitsha on Thursday and this, perhaps, scared the organizers of the protests. Hundreds of the IPOB agitators, who gathered at one location in Onitsha, had to hurriedly disperse for fear of arrests.

The suspension of the protest, however, does not mean the agitation is over.

For now, the agitators have resorted to the use of the social media to whip up sentiments and gather more support for what they described as impending referendum on Biafra. One of the messages that have hit the media is entitled, ‘The Biafra question: A case for self-determination referendum.’

IPOB: All Progressives Congress (APC) Is Sponsoring This Crisis

IPOB,MASSOB,APC, Onitsha Protest.

A fresh twist has been added to the bloody protest and demonstration by the pro-Biafra agitators under the aegis of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM) yesterday made public the names and identities of their members, who were allegedly shot dead on Wednesday by security agents in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The disclosure of the names of the deceased members came on a day the agitators accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of allegedly sponsoring the crisis, which had led to the death of 13 persons with others sustaining various degrees of injuries.

Igbo's Are Very Much Blessed And Loved Exceedingly By God - Ezeemo

Igbo's Are Very Much Blessed And Loved Exceedingly By God

A frontline industrialist, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, has called on the pro-Biafra protesters to have a re-think of their actions and consider its consequences on the generality of the Igbo residing in different parts of the country and tread with caution.
He said grounding businesses in the South East, destroying properties of their brothers, and preventing women from fending for their families, among other negative implications of violent protests, do not give credibility to their call, rather dialogue and diplomacy must be employed in resolving any issue of interest, not war or confrontational principle.
Ezeemo said that 99.9 per cent of the people parading themselves today as pro-Biafra crusaders and going about their agitation in a violent manner did not see or experience the 1967- 1970 Nigerian civil war and as such do not know the consequences of their action.
He called on the protesters to go home and ask their parents, uncles, war veterans in their various localities what it means to incite war and its benefits. “There is nothing good that will come out of conflict, confusion, crisis, not to talk of war where every where will be in comatose.

IPOB,MASSOB: Northern Governors Comes Together To Avert Spread OF Violence.

                   IPOB,BIAFRA,PROTEST
Governors of the Nineteen northern States on Thursday took undisclosed security measures with a view to ensuring that Wednesday’s violence that included burning of places of worship in the commercial city of Onitsha in Anambra State did not spread to the northern part of the country.

Speaking on behalf of the nineteen Governors, Borno State Governor and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Kashim Shettima whose statement was issued by his spokesman, Malam Isa Gusau on Thursday in Maiduguri, said the Governors, particularly those of major cities were in touch with one another yesterday and had taken some firm measures aimed at averting any spill-over.

Oppressors Should Be Blamed Instead Of Blaming The Biafra Agitators. Chukwudi Nwokoye

by Chukwudi Nwokoye
It is cowardly to blame the victims of murder by the Army and Police. Why do we live in a world where the victims are always blamed instead of the oppressors? Why do we live in the world where victims are always at the receiving end of the “blame-masters”?
When a woman is raped, the hypocritical and cowardly society of ours would not blame the disgusting rapist, but would blame the victim of rape. “What was she doing by that time of the night.?” “Why was she wearing a skimpy shorts or skimpy shirt.”? “Why did she go there in the first place.”?

Buhari Should Be Held Responsible For The Renewed Biafra Struggle. Femi Aribisala

In the eight years of Obasanjo’s presidency, there was no headline-grabbing demand for Biafra. Ditto for the eight years of the Yar’Adua/Jonathan presidency. However, within months of Buhari’s presidency, the Igbo demand for Biafra has become deafening.

Without a doubt, the blame for this new impetus must be laid firmly at the doorstep of President Buhari. Moreover, rather than attenuate it, the president and the APC have exacerbated separatist tendencies in the country.

This was part of the reason why people like me did not support Buhari’s election as president of Nigeria. I have written severally in Vanguard that Nigeria must remain a united nation. In my column of 4th March, 2014 entitled: “Re-inventing Igbo Politics in Nigeria,” I maintained that: “Nigeria cannot survive without the Igbo.” The following week on 11th March 2014, I wrote another article entitled: “Nigeria Cannot Do without the North.”
