President Buhari's Many Foreign Trips Is For The Good Of The Country
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has justified the many foreign trips of the President, saying that such trips by President Buhari since assuming office are critical to the implementation of his administration key policies of enhancing security, jump-starting the economy, creating jobs and fighting corruption.
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja and signed by the Special Assistant to the Minister of Information and Culture, Segun Adeyemi, the Minister said all the trips have started yielding fruits in terms of turning the tide in the fight against the insurgents, attracting investments in the range of billions of dollars, and securing global support for the administration’s anti-corruption fight.
“Nigerians, whether in the ruling or the opposition parties, have a right to ask questions about the activities of their President, but it is absolutely important that they do so from an informed, rather than partisan or sensational, standpoint,’’ he said.

Igbo's Are Very Much Blessed And Loved Exceedingly By God - Ezeemo
Igbo's Are Very Much Blessed And Loved Exceedingly By God
A frontline industrialist, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, has called on the pro-Biafra protesters to have a re-think of their actions and consider its consequences on the generality of the Igbo residing in different parts of the country and tread with caution.
He said grounding businesses in the South East, destroying properties of their brothers, and preventing women from fending for their families, among other negative implications of violent protests, do not give credibility to their call, rather dialogue and diplomacy must be employed in resolving any issue of interest, not war or confrontational principle.
Ezeemo said that 99.9 per cent of the people parading themselves today as pro-Biafra crusaders and going about their agitation in a violent manner did not see or experience the 1967- 1970 Nigerian civil war and as such do not know the consequences of their action.
He called on the protesters to go home and ask their parents, uncles, war veterans in their various localities what it means to incite war and its benefits. “There is nothing good that will come out of conflict, confusion, crisis, not to talk of war where every where will be in comatose.

Press Release From DAAR Communication Over The Arrest Of Chairman Emeritus High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi.
On Monday Nov 30, 2015 whilst attending the 70th birthday celebration of former Minister and PDP stalwart, Professor Jerry Gana, the Chairman Emeritus of DAAR Communications Plc. received a telephone call from the Ag. Chairman of EFCC Ibrahim Magu inviting him to the visit the EFCC Headquarters to provide some clarifications and documentation regarding some transactions involving the Office of the erstwhile NSA during the 2015 Presidential election campaigns.
On Tuesday Dec 1, 2015 around 2.00pm, High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi honored the verbal telephone invitation and voluntarily drove himself to the EFCC Headquarters in the company of his son, Raymond Dokpesi Jr and a legal representative of the Chambers of Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, in the person of Barrister Justin Omogbemeh. It is pertinent to state that the contrary to news reports, he wasn't arrested nor was he even formally invited, as there is no letter of invitation. At the commission, he was requested to shed more light on some payments that were made to him through the office of the erstwhile National Security Officer to the former President, Mallam Sambo Dasuki. High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi made his statement on the various media exposures and campaign transactions, which were dutifully carried out across most broadcast, print and social media in and outside Nigeria. Surprisingly, rather than been allowed to go home, a free man, or at most on administrative bail, in self recognizance, High Chief Dokpesi was kept by EFCC operatives, with onerous bail conditions imposed for his release. It is theses conditions that we are now attempting to perfect for his immediate release.

Oppressors Should Be Blamed Instead Of Blaming The Biafra Agitators. Chukwudi Nwokoye
by Chukwudi Nwokoye
It is cowardly to blame the victims of murder by the Army and Police. Why do we live in a world where the victims are always blamed instead of the oppressors? Why do we live in the world where victims are always at the receiving end of the “blame-masters”?
When a woman is raped, the hypocritical and cowardly society of ours would not blame the disgusting rapist, but would blame the victim of rape. “What was she doing by that time of the night.?” “Why was she wearing a skimpy shorts or skimpy shirt.”? “Why did she go there in the first place.”?
Buhari Should Be Held Responsible For The Renewed Biafra Struggle. Femi Aribisala
In the eight years of Obasanjo’s presidency, there was no headline-grabbing demand for Biafra. Ditto for the eight years of the Yar’Adua/Jonathan presidency. However, within months of Buhari’s presidency, the Igbo demand for Biafra has become deafening.
Without a doubt, the blame for this new impetus must be laid firmly at the doorstep of President Buhari. Moreover, rather than attenuate it, the president and the APC have exacerbated separatist tendencies in the country.
This was part of the reason why people like me did not support Buhari’s election as president of Nigeria. I have written severally in Vanguard that Nigeria must remain a united nation. In my column of 4th March, 2014 entitled: “Re-inventing Igbo Politics in Nigeria,” I maintained that: “Nigeria cannot survive without the Igbo.” The following week on 11th March 2014, I wrote another article entitled: “Nigeria Cannot Do without the North.”
UK launches Its Air Strikes On Syria Islamic States.
British fighter planes have struck suspected ISIL targets in Syria, just hours after MPs approved a motion authorising the use of military force against the group.
A British Ministry of Defence spokesman confirmed to Al Jazeera that Tornado combat jets had returned to base after conducting combat missions against the group on Thursday.
Earlier, the Reuters news agency reported that four warplanes landed at RAF Akrotiri, the base used for British air strikes on fighters belonging to ISIL, or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group, in Iraq.
